REVIEW OF "HUSH, HUSH"
NO MAJOR SPOILERS
Against my better judgement I found myself quite enjoying this book. I found it an interesting read with a few interesting twists and a couple of "that's rather funny but I'm not going to laugh" moments. The murderer was obvious! Yes, despite the author's attempts to steer us in the wrong direction the outcome was predictable. The main character's stalking was interesting and I liked the way that unlike the reader she was completely ignorant to who was stalking her and why they wanted her. I found her slightly irritating in the way the author portrayed her to be SUPER DUPER curious about Patch. No sane person would go to a DANGEROUS place just to ask a guy she is terrified of what his hobbies are! Patch did a good job of avoiding her questions though, and I cringe to think of what a normal guy would think if I turned up at his snooker match and demanded to know his life story. Patch however, is a fallen angel who has the same name as my dead rabbit and is mysterious and edgy, yep, nothing new there. However, the book shows a more realistic approach to a guy's mind which is rare in teen fiction post Twilight, it is not however a good book for Edward fans to wean themselves off on, Patch is NOT a sparkly vampire, he is a fallen angel with a rabbit's name and a special "sexy" smile for everything he says.
